Tillman gains national endorsement
CHICAGO, IL With the 2020 Illinois Republican primary field stacked with newcomers running in the 1st Congressional district, veteran Republican strategist Jimmy Lee Tillman, II has risen above the crowd with an endorsement from a national Republican organization. The Legacy Republican Alliance, (LRA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to expanding the presence and engagement of Black Americans and the African diaspora in the Republican Party and our nation’s political system.
“The Legacy Republican Alliance is dedicated to supporting black conservative candidates who will defend the Constitution and implement commonsense policies that enhance our freedom and economic opportunity for all. Jimmy Lee Tillman’s commitment to protecting working families from tax increases, improving education, and advocating for his community members who have been disenfranchised will have a remarkable impact on the 1st Congressional District in Illinois”, remarked Corrin Rakin, LRA President.
“I am very honored to have been selected by the Board of Directors of the Legacy Republican Alliance for my 1st national endorsement and I hope to gain many more”, Tillman replied.
Tillman is the founder of the Martin Luther King Republicans, Republican Leadership Initiative (RLI) Fellow and Heritage Action for America Sentinel. The primary election will be held in the March.
